Abstract

Based on the analysis of indicators of 623 patients, factors that are clinically and statistically significantly associated with the presence of nasal valve pathology were identified (p<0.003); a method has been developed to determine the nasal valve dysfunction. In patients with impaired nasal breathing we have developed methods for the surgical treatment of stenosis of the internal nasal valve considering the mobility of the side wall of the nose.
As a result of the studies, an algorithm for the step-by-step diagnosis of the pathology of the nasal valve in patients with impaired nasal breathing was developed for a differentiated, comprehensive, personalized approach to the choice of treatment method, taking into account the level of obstruction, the degree of difficulty in nasal breathing, and concomitant nasal pathology.
