Abstract

Relevance: In the early period after operations on the soft palate treatment of patients ensuring adequate control of the pain syndrome. The article analyzes the results of the use of different groups of analgesic drugs in the elimination of postoperative pain syndrome and compares them, considers the advantages and disadvantages of their use.
Materials and methods: own research was concerned with the assessment of the effectiveness of postoperative methods analgesia after surgical interventions on the soft palate with the use of ketorolac and dipyrone (respectively, groups of 17 patients each). A patient questionnaire was conducted regarding possible health complications associated with taking the specified analgesics.
Results and discussion: Obtained data demonstrate a certain dependence of the frequency of side effects on the drug taken by patients. It was found that headache, nausea, and tachycardia were significantly more common in subjects of the 1st group who took dipyrone, while dizziness occurred equally often in patients of both groups. The use of dipyrone and ketorolac allows to achieve a better analgesic effect and has a lower frequency of side effects, can be used as monoalgesia.
